Carolina Pet Sitters (CPS) is a specialized pet and home care service offering a full range of options for all of your home and pet care needs.  CPS was founded by Kim and Miller Huntley in November 1999.  We are thirtysomething college graduates (USC & The Citadel) who love all types of animals...(except snakes!!!!)  We have lived and worked in Columbia since the mid 90s.  We have two children:  Hannah (born in 2000) and Harrison (born in 2003), and we are also the proud parents of THREE SILLY LABS:  Darby, Little Boy and Shelby.  

Before we started our pet sitting business, we would always take care of many of our friend's, relative's, and even neighbor's pets when they would go away for either a long vacation or a short weekend get-away.  In 1999, a friend of ours suggested that we start a pet sitting business.  After thinking of the possibilities and doing some research about pet sitting, we decided to 'Go For It'.  We saw a great need for an alternative way to care for pets in their own home as well as the added benefit of watching over the home itself.  Having an “odd” dog of our own, Vivi (died in 2003), we knew the heartache that some pet owners go through when they have to leave their pets at a kennel.  Some pets do fine at kennels, but there are many pets that get VERY confused and stressed out.  Some pets are better off staying in their own environment.  Carolina Pet Sitters wants to help those pet owners have peace of mind when they have to leave their pets.

We are dedicated to providing your pets with the best possible care while you are away.  We are bonded, insured, and licensed for business.  We have numerous years of experience caring for all types of pets.  We also have references that you are welcomed to contact regarding our service.  We will come to your home and follow your instructions for your pet's care.  Our visits include feeding, exercising, administering any medications, playing, petting, loving them, cleaning out litter boxes, cleaning up any accidents, taking dogs out for breaks, extended dog walks, plant care, changing lights & blinds, picking up the mail and newspaper, and any other special requests.  We strive to care for our customer's pets as if they were our own. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION and QUALITY PET CARE are extremely important to us.  We do our best to give your pets the attention they deserve while you are away!
